New Delhi, 13/2 (AO Bureau): At present, no date has been set for the start of all passenger trains in the country. This information has been given by Indian Railways on Saturday. Railway was told that currently, 65 percent of trains are operating in the country. At the same time, 250 more trains have been started from January. Indian Railways informed that no date has been set for the re-start of all trains. Railways are increasing the number of trains in a graded manner. Already 65 percent of trains are running in the country. At the same time, more than 250 trains have been resumed from January, and more trains will be started soon.
Earlier, there were reports quoting sources that from April 1, all trains will start across the country, after which this statement has been issued by the Railways. It was told that this decision has been taken by the government in view of the current conditions of the spread of Holi and Coronavirus. However, it has been told by the railway that at present it has no fixed plan to run all the trains.
Explain that during the countrywide lockdown imposed in March last year to stop the spread of the Coronavirus, all general passenger train services were banned. After this, trains were started in a graded manner, starting from Rajdhani trains. Currently, only special trains are running across the country. However, during the festive season, the Railways operated many trains. Now when the situation is getting normal, the railway is working on a plan to run all the trains. At present, more than 300 special mail/express trains are running on the track.
