Sambalpur :
For the first time , Township Children Sports was organized at JSWBPSL, Thelkoloi, Sambalpur. After completion of various sports events for girls, boys and mixed sections of children ,under different age groups ; prize distribution ceremony was organized on 16th April,2023 at JSWBPSL Township Sports Ground. On the auspicious function, Mr. Anil Kumar Singh, President & WTD , and Mrs. Neelam Singh, first Lady and renowned social activist of the JSWBPSL Township ,had graced the occassion as Chief Guests.
Mr. Anil Kumar Singh congratulated all the participants and their parents for huge participation and enthusiasm towards various sports events . He told that winners should definitely feel happy for their achievements , but those who could not win should also be happy for gaining experience ,learning and development of bonding among various children. He added that the sports events will definitely increase bonding, cohesiveness ,good interpersonal relationship, good team building, mutual understanding and support ,among the residents of the Township. Mrs. Neelam Singh stated that children are future of our country and games & sports create good environment for excellent future. She cheered up for huge participation of girls as well as boys, in different sports events. She told that every participant had gained immunity, agility, freshness , fitness, knowledge to handle competitive environment etc. from the organized sports.
Both of them had congratulated Sports Committee and Volunteers for aligning with the culture of JSW Group Sports Promotional Activities and organizing transparent & enthusiastic sports events for Township Children.
On the occasion , Mr. Umesh Rai, COO ,had also encouraged the participants and motivated them for their best performances.
Besides trophies and medals in individual and team events, Five Best player Awards were also announced.
For age group (1) 5 years to 8 Years – Mixed Group- Best Player – Mr. Shiv Yadav, S/O Mr. Deo Rishi Yadav (2) 8 Years to 12 Years –Girl- Best Player – Miss Barsha Mandal D/O Mr Satnu Mandal (3) 8 Years to 12 Years –Boys – Best Player – Mr. Binarv Prasad , S/O Mr.Gyan Ranjan Behera (4) 12 Years to 16 Years –Girl- Best Player – Miss Muskan Verma , D/O Mr. C.R.Verma and (5) 12Years to 16 Years –Boys- Best Player – Mr. Aanish Patnaik , S/O Mr Ashok Kumar Patnaik.
Mr. Binarv Prasad had secured first place in each of the three events ,in which he had participated.
During prize distribution ceremony , Mr.P.sasindran, Mr.Gopal Saha, Mr.Sanjay Kumar ,Mr.Manoj Patwari, Mr.Srinivas , senior ladies and about 2500 residents were present to cheer up and actively celebrate the occasion.
The Township Children Sports Event has created an excellent progressive environment at JSWBPSL.
