BJD MP Sasmit Patra demanded the immediate evacuation of Surplus rice from Odisha

New Delhi, 22/3 (AO Bureau): In a major development, Bharatiya Janta Dal (BJD)  Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sasmit Patra today in Rajya Sabha raised the need for the immediate evacuation of surplus rice from Odisha amounting to 30 Lakh Metric Ton for the present Kharif season and payment of pending subsidy of Rs.5616 crores from the Govt of India to Odisha towards rice procurement.

He took his opportunity to speak in Odia to raise the demands of the people of Odisha. It is worth mentioning that Mr. Patra has been continuously raising his voice for the benefits of the people of Odisha
