Chennai, 2/2: Popular Tamil actor Vijay on Friday announced the launch of his political party, Thamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), to usher in a “fundamental political change” in Tamil Nadu that would lead to a “corruption-free” and efficient governance.
In a three-page statement, Vijay announced that his new political party will contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly polls and that 2024 Lok Sabha elections wasn’t his forte. The announcement by Vijay puts an end to months of speculation about his political career.
