Kolkata, 12/4: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday announced the arrest of two key suspects in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case. As per the agency, Mussavir Hussain Shazib, the suspected bomber, and Abdul Matheen Ahmed Taahaa, a co-conspirator, were detained by the investigators from their hideout in West Bengal’s Kolkata.
Shazib is the accused who placed the IED at the café and Taahaa is the mastermind behind the planning, execution of blast and subsequent evasion from the clutches of law,” the agency said, adding that the duo, who were using false identities, were arrested.
