Bangalore, 3/5 (AO Bureau):There is an outcry across the country from Coronavirus. The process of death is not taking the name of stopping. Meanwhile, there is news that more than 24 corona patients have died due to lack of oxygen in Chamarajanagar, Karnataka. It is being said that the patients who were undergoing treatment with corona were all on ventilators. This is the second time when patients have died due to lack of oxygen in Karnataka. Earlier on Saturday, the state lost 12 patients. However, the government has denied the lack of oxygen.
Mourning has taken place in Chamarajanagar district hospital where after hearing the news, the relatives of the dead were seen crying. The families of the deceased also demonstrated in the hospital and alleged that there was a shortage of oxygen here and shouted slogans there. Chamarajanagar district in-charge minister S Suresh Kumar said that he has ordered the district administration to submit an audit report of the death in the incident. He maintains that not all deaths have occurred due to lack of oxygen.
Kumar told reporters here, ‘It would not be correct to say that all 24 deaths have occurred due to lack of oxygen. These deaths have taken place from Sunday morning till this morning. There was a shortage of oxygen between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm late on Sunday. Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has also received information about the incident from the Deputy Commissioner of the district. Suresh Kumar said that the audit report of the death would reveal which disease these patients were suffering from, they had some more serious diseases and they were brought to the hospital in some condition. He said, ‘All the people who died have not necessarily died due to lack of oxygen. He said that 6,000 liters of liquid was medical oxygen but oxygen cylinders were needed.
Cylinder to come from Mysuru
Kumar said, “These cylinders were coming from Mysuru but there was some problem.” He said that this situation was also explained to the Chief Secretary of the state, the private secretary to the Chief Minister and Additional Director General of Police Pratap Reddy, who is in charge of oxygen supply in the state. Kumar said, ‘I have also asked the officials to find a permanent solution for the supply of oxygen in Chamarajanagar district. There is definitely a problem in Mysuru, but the supply of oxygen from Mysuru to Chamarajanagar and Mandya should not be interrupted. Expressing grief over the death of the patients, the minister said that he would go to Chamarajanagar to take stock of the situation
