More tan 1 lakh active Coronavirus cases in these 12 states: Luv Agrawal

New Delhi, 5/5 (AO Bureau):Regarding Covid-19 Cases and deaths in the country, Joint Secretary of Health Ministry Luv Aggarwal said that there are 2.4 percent more cases on Wednesday than Tuesday. Aggarwal said that the deaths from Corona also increased compared to the previous day. The Joint Secretary said that 3,82,315 cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, 12 states have more than one lakh active cases, 7 states have 50,000 to one lakh active cases, 17 states have more than 50,000 active cases. . There are about 1.5 lakh active cases in Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

The Joint Secretary told that in 24 states the positivity rate is 15 percent. At the same time, the positivity rate has reached 25 percent in 10 states. He said that cases are falling in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Jharkhand, Andaman, Lakshadeep. At the same time, cases of corona are increasing in Karnataka, Kerala, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Bihar, Chandigarh, Tripura, Assam, Himachal Pradesh.

 

Highest deaths in these five states
Luv Aggarwal said that more deaths have been reported in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and Haryana. He said that there are some areas of concern. In Bangalore, about 1.49 lakh cases have been reported in the last one week. There have been 38,000 cases in Chennai. Covid cases have increased rapidly in some districts, including Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Gurugram.

Regarding the vaccination campaign, Luv Aggarwal said that the liberalized policy for vaccination was launched on 1 May. Under this, the campaign has started smoothly in 9 states and 6.71 lakh people between the age of 18-44 have been vaccinated.
