Cuttack: In a shocking discovery, an adulterated milk factory has been busted in Cuttack on Monday, said reliable reports. The Rohini milk company was established in the river banks of Mahanadi in Cuttack.According to reports, the Jagatpur Police and Food Department got a tip off in this matter and conducted a raid on the said factory. Inspection of various aspects in the premises of the company by the senior officers was done and the adulterated milk factory was busted.A joint raid of the Food Department and the Commissionerate Police is underway on the adulterated milk factory in Salepur area of Cuttack. The raid took place on a milk company called Rohini milk. It was reported that this milk was prepared by mixing food waste, chemicals, contaminated water and salt during the brewing process.Not only milk but curd and lassi were also prepared here and sent to different districts including Cuttack, Kendrapara, Jajpur and Puri for sale. However, the Police has conducted further investigation.Cuttack ADCP Anil Kumar Mishra informed that the police is investigating the matter from all directions including the places from which the product was sold. On the other hand, the Food Department has collected all the funds from the said milk factory and detained the owner of the said factory and is questioning him. Further detailed reports awaited.
