Bhubaneswar: IPS Arun Sarangi has applied for VRS, said latest reports in this regard on Wednesday. Recently, the government had appointed him as the chairman of OPSC. Earlier Arun was the in-charge DGP of Odisha from December 31, 2023 to August 16, 2024. Reports say the 1990 batch IPS Arun Sarangi has applied for VRS.He had successfully managed the 2024 general assembly elections and the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath.
