Gunupur – In celebration of the National wildlife Week held at Rayagada today, the Odisha Government’s Department of Forest, Environment, and Climate Change honored Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology University with the prestigious Prakruti Mitra Award 2024. This recognition was awarded to the university for its remarkable efforts in nature conservation and environmental protection.
On behalf of the university, Professor Premanshu Shekhar Rath, a member of the National Service Scheme (NSS), accepted the award, receiving a certificate of honor and a cheque for ₹20,000 from the dignitaries present at the event.
The occasion was graced by prominent guests including Rayagada MLA Apala Swami Kadraka, Zilla Parishad President Saraswati Majhi, Rayagada Block President Tuni Huika, Kolnara Block President Sanjukta Kulasika, Rayagada Divisional Forest Officer Sachin Annasaheb ohol,ACF Ashok Kumar Pradhan and Sandeep Kumar Prusti, Wildlife Warden Gauranga Charan Raut, and Gunupur forest Ranger Gangadhar Mishra, among others.
