Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police have imposed traffic restrictions for Bhasani, the immersion of Durga idol procession in Cuttack of Odisha. The restrictions have been imposed from 7 am today till the end of bhasani tomorrow.For swift movement of the tableaus (medha) on the road traffic restriction has been imposed from College chhaka to Buxibazar, from Tinikonia Bagicha to Chandini Chowk, from Chowdhury Bazar chhaka to Purna Sahu chhaka, Jaunliapati and Firingi Bazar to Devigada and from Cuttack Chandi temple chowk to Sheikh Bazar and Mohammadia Bazar Street to Chandini Chowk and hence vehicles cannot move on this road.However, vehicles can move from one side to the other as per the traffic rules when the main road intersections are not busy. Apart from this, traffic restrictions have also been issued at other places in the city.Cuttack Durga Puja Bhasani procession will be under CCTV surveillance. The commissionerate police will monitor the movement of the entire city through the state-of-the-art CCTV control room. Commissioner and DCP will monitor after 6 pm.
