Siridi (Maharashtara): In a welcome step for the devotees and much of a reason to rejoice, the Bombay High Court has allowed to offer garlands and flowers to Siridi Saibaba. This practice had been suspended from the Covid pandemic and for over three years.The Court decided this while hearing a petition filed by flower sellers and the ad-hoc committee of the temple. The “It would be appropriate that permission is granted to the Sansthan/trust for resuming offering of flowers/garland, ” the Court said while hearing the matter.On the offering of flowers to Siridi Saibaba the Court further called upon the ad-hoc committee of the temple to take the appropriate decision at the earliest regarding the manner. The Court further asked to decide on the disposal of the waste that is to be generated by virtue of offering of the flowers/garlands.The Court that heard the case constituted of a bench of Justices Mangesh Patil and Shailesh Brahme.It is further worth mentioning that during Covid the practice of offering flowers was stopped. The ad-hoc committee of the temple, consisted of the Principal District Judge, Collector, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Sansthan. It has been managing the temple’s affairs since the Covid times.One of the committee members said that a waste disposal system is yet to be put in place in the temple. To this the court said that a waste management system is necessary at the earliest.
