Sambalpur : In a significant stride towards improving early childhood education, the JSW Foundation, in
collaboration with the Akanksha Ladies Club from JSW BPSL Sambalpur, has upgraded the
infrastructure of 20 Anganwadi centers in Rengali Block, Sambalpur. This initiative, part of the
Foundation’s CSR efforts, underscores its commitment to education in rural areas.
Over the past two years, these efforts have transformed 20 village centers into child-friendly
environments, addressing the critical need for early education in rural areas. Mrs. Neelam Singh,
President of the Akanksha Ladies Club, has been instrumental in this transformation. By responding
to community needs, she has provided essential items such as extra fans, tube lights, utensil racks,
and kitchen utensils, significantly enhancing the centers’ functionality.
Mrs. Singh remarked, “Our goal is to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. By
improving these centers, we are investing in the future of our communities.” Through her leadership and
vision, Mrs. Singh continues to play a vital role in improving the lives of children and communities in the
Rengali Block, highlighting the importance of education and infrastructure development in rural areas.
During the distribution event, Mr. Vishal Raj, CSR Head, emphasized the JSW Foundation’s dedication
to such impactful projects. These enhancements have made the centers more welcoming and
conducive to learning, laying a strong foundation for the children’s future.
