Dewas: In a tragic fire accident, four of a family were charred to death in Nayapura area under Nahar Darwaja police station of Dewas late on Friday night. Properties worth lakhs have been gutted in the fire.According to sources, the fire was so severe that three fire brigades were involved to extinguish the fire. It took over an hour to bring the fire under control. The deceased include, Dinesh, his wife Gayatri and their daughter Ishika and son Chirag.It was known from preliminary investigation that the fire was caused due to a short circuit in a milk parlour. The fire from the milk parlour spread its tentacles and the family of four was charred to death. Three fire tenders combinedly tried to extinguish the fire as its intensity was very high.The police station in-charge, Manju Yadav said,” There was a milk parlour on the ground floor. From prima facie investigation it is found that a short circuit in the milk parlour led to the building catching fire. The fire then spread in the upper floor also where the family was staying. Further investigation is underway.”
