Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday inaugurated the statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Bellevue Square in Cuttack.The statue, sculpted under the expert guidance of artist Sanjib Biswal, was crafted by 18 skilled artisans in just 35 days.The event also saw the presence of several dignitaries, including Literature & Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahtab, Cuttack Sadar MLA Prakash Chandra Sethi, Mahanga MLA Sarada Prasad Padhan, Banki MLA Devi Ranjan Tripathy, and Salepur MLA Prasanta Behera, along with various other BJP leaders. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, State Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, and also remembered the late former Minister Samir Dey, whose contributions were instrumental in the statue’s construction.
