President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto to be Chief Guest for Republic Day Parade 2025

New Delhi: The President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto shall be the Chief Guest for Republic Day Parade 2025, said reports in this regard on Thursday. The Indonesian President shall be to be in India on a State Visit from January 23 to January 26. He will witness the Republic Day Parade 2025 as the Chief Guest.During his visit, he will be called on by External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. He will also hold a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu.It is also worth mentioning here that, the Indonesian contingent has been invited to participate in the Republic Day Parade 2025 on the Kartvya Path, as the Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto shall be the chief guest at this year’s Republic Day parade.Leading the Indonesian Contingent, Deputy Commander of the Indonesian Military Academy, Brigadier Kristomei told ANI, “352 soldiers will be participating in the event. We are very excited and would like to convey our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Indian government for inviting us to this event. For most of us, this is our first time in India. We are looking forward to presenting ourselves in front of the Indian government, the Indian people and our President.”On this, Second Sergeant Major Cadet Tasya Putri, told ANI, “I am participating in this event as a leader of the marching bands. I am excited. this is my first time in India. I hope our presence here will enhance the cooperation between India and Indonesia.”
