Cuttack: In a heart-wrenching incident, a man and his minor daughter were found dead under mysterious circumstances in an apartment in Cuttack’s Badambadi area this afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Manas Ranjan Dash and his 16-year-old daughter. Manas and his daughter were living in the Snehalata Apartment for the last two years. They were supposed to vacate the flat today. However, they died today under mysterious circumstances and their bodies were reportedly found lying on the bed of their closed flat. While the exact cause of the death of the father and daughter is yet to be known, from the given circumstance it is assumed that they committed suicide. However, what forced them to take the extreme step, if they have, is yet to be ascertained, said sources. Cops from the Badambadi Police Station reached the flat and started an investigation into the matter. Later a scientific team also arrived at the spot and collected samples and evidences from the room to help the police in their probe. Police also sent the bodies to the SCB Medical College and Hospital fro postmortem. Meanwhile, the death of Manas and his daughter has shocked the inmates of the apartment.
