Sambalpur : JSWBPSL Sambalpur Works commemorated the 54th National Safety Day on March 4, 2025, inline with our vision of achieving ‘Zero Harm.’ This year,National Safety Day at BPSLwas observed on the theme of “Safety & Well-being Crucial for Viksit Bharat,”
On this occasion Mr. Anil Kumar Singh, President and Whole Time Director highlighted the performance of the plant, how we progressed, and talked about various celebrations of achievement on performances like Zero LTI for 5 Million hours andelaborated our performance on safety in the august presence of COO, senior leadership and employees of the plant. He thanked all the leadership team employees for safe behavior and promoting safety culture in the organization. Mr. Singh proudly noted the remarkable achievement of the drastic reduction in Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) in just three years, attributing this success to the dedication and hard work of all departments.
Mr. Umesh Rai, Chief Operating Officer and Mr. Umakant Samantray, Assistant Director of Factories & Boilers, also contributed to the discourse on safety. The celebration featured an exhibition showcasing safety products from twenty-nine vendors and included safety competitions aimed at promoting a safety culture. Awards were presented to the winners by the Chief Guest and Senior Leaders.
Mr. Ashok Biswal, General Manager of Safety & Fire Services, welcomed the attendees and conveyed the vote of thanks, marking a successful commemoration of National Safety Day at JSWBPSL
