Bhubaneswar, March 4: More than 200 volunteers of National Service
Scheme (NSS) from 11 states attended a week-long national integration camp
held at the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) here from
February 21 to 27.
The camp was jointly organised by SOA and and the Regional Directorate of
NSS at Bhubaneswar.
NSS volunteers from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu,
Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and
students representing 15 universities of Odisha attended the camp.
The concluding function of the camp was graced by Prof. Damodar Acharya,
Chairman of SOA Advisory Board and former Chairman of AICTE, who urged the
students to strive to strengthen national unity.
The program was also attended by Ms. Sarita Patel, Regional Director, NSS,
Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor of SOA, Prof. Nachieketa K. Sharma,
SOA’s Director, International Relations and University Outreach Program and Prof.
Jyoti Ranjan Das, SOA’s Dean (Students’ Welfare).
