In a glaring display of talent, creativity, DAV Public School, MCL, Jagannath Area celebrated its Annual Day
today with unparalleled excitement and enthusiasm. The event held at the sprawling campus of the school
was a resplendent spectacle that left the audience mesmerized. The event served as a platform to
celebrate the achievements of the school during the whole year and recognise the outstanding
contributions of the students. The General Manager , MCL, Jagannath Area and Chairman, LMC, Shri A.K.
Dhal sir graced the occasion with his benign presence as the Chief Guest and Madam Susmita Dhal ,
President, Annaya Mahila Mandal glorified the evening as the Guest of Honour.
Along with them a host of other dignitaries including the GM of other Areas, the Area Personal Manager
and The Area Finance Manager of JA, MCL, the Staff Officers of various departments, the trade union
leaders, Principals of neighbouring DAV Public Schools, parent representatives, media personnel and many
others were also present.
An Art Exhibition ‘CHITROSTAV’ which displayed the paintings of the students was inaugurated by the
Chief Guest in the presence of the Guest of Honour and other dignitaries.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the holy lamp followed by a soulful rendition of the DAV
Gaan and Coal India Anthem. The Principal of the school, Sukla Chakraborty welcomed the Chief Guest, &
dignitaries and presented the Annual Report of the school. The students took the centre stage showcasing
their talents in music, dance, drama and art. The performances were a testament to the school’s
commitment to fostering creativity, innovation and excellence.
From the mesmerizing Goan dance to the soul stirring Sufi dance, each act was a masterpiece in precision,
passion and perfection. The energetic and synchronised performances coupled with the dazzling display
of lights and sounds created a truly magical atmosphere.
In his address, the Chief Guest eulogised the efforts of the school in providing a holistic education that
stresses on the all round development the children. He also commended the students for their outstanding
performance and remarkable achievement encouraging them to continue striving excellence in all their
pursuits. The Chief Guest and other dignitaries gave away prizes to the students who were recognised for
their outstanding achievements in academics sports and co-curricular activities.
The theme of the Annual Function was- a tryst with Swarnim Bharat, a celebration of culture, art ,creativity
and talent of India. In the gala e, one could see the skills and talent of the young children being showcased
with aplomb.
The Chief Guest and other guests appreciated the performances of the students. Finally, the Academic
Supervisor of the school, Dr C.R Chakraborty proposed a vote of thanks . The program
culminated with Shanti path.
