Hirakud:(Correspondent):- An agreement has been signed between Hindalco Hirakud and Mahashakti Foundation for “Project Shakti” to make women self-reliant and empowered. The event was attended by Additional Commissioner of Sambalpur Municipal Corporation Mr. Sunil Kerketta, Deputy CEO of ORMAS Mr. Srimanta Hota, Head of Environmental Development Hindalco Mr. Abhijit, Head of Downstream Human Resources Hindalco Mr. T. Meena Prakash, Hindalco, Odisha Cluster and Mines, Dr. Krishna Padhi, Head, Human Resources, FRP Plant, Shri Soumitra Roy, Unit Head, Hindalco Smelter and Power, Shri Debashish Mallick, Head, Human Resources, Hirakud FRP, Shri Shiv Mishra, Head, FRP Operations, Shri Surjeet Mitra, Head, Environmental Development, Odisha Cluster, Shri Shiv Mohapatra and CEO, Mahashakti Foundation, Shri Jugal Kishore Patnaik were present. The main objective of this project is to empower the SHGs with limited demand-driven product development, well-organized consumer ecosystem, provide quality training and connect them with the market to promote their livelihood. In this regard, efforts will be made to double the income of more than 100 SHGs of Hirakud and also to provide proper marketing arrangements for their products.
