SUBARNAPUR —–As per the decision of an important state executive meeting of Odisha Revenue Officials Association, today, Odisha Revenue Officials Association Subarnapur District Branch President Nilambar Satpathy submitted a ten-point demand letter to Subarnapur Additional District Magistrate Anjalina Pradhan for the state government. It is reported that the state government’s paternalistic attitude towards fulfilling the long-standing demands of the revenue officials working at the district level has caused dissatisfaction among the officials at the district level. The main demands include that the basic salary of the revenue officials working at the district level should be increased to Level-9 as per the ORSP-2021 rules. State Government Public Administration and Grievances Department letter number:- 8898 dated 15-03-2024, based on the information provided by all Collectors, new posts should be created and posts should be restructured. Health insurance up to Rs. 20 lakhs per annum should be implemented for all government employees working in the state. The rules of the rehabilitation scheme implemented in 2020 should be completely abolished and any member of the family of the deceased government employee should be given appointment on the basis of merit as per the rules implemented in 1990. Revenue officers should be given one percent promotion in the Odisha Revenue Service system. The new pension scheme should be abolished and all government employees should be included in the old pension scheme.
In this context, discussions have been held at various levels along with correspondence with the state government at various times and through various channels. However, even after reviewing all the above discussions, the results have been null and void. In this context, if the state government does not fulfill the above demands within the next 15 days, the Sangha will wear black badges from July 07 to July 11 and if the state government does not fulfill all these demands, then as per the decision taken in the executive meeting of the state Sangh, a complete work stoppage will be launched from July 14, said Subarnapur District President Nilambar Satpathy, Vice President Sahadeb Meher, Working President Sites Pujahari, Secretary Banamali Meher.
