Sambalpur, 12/7: In a major development, Senior BJP leader and Sundargarh MP Jual Oram has officially announced his retirement from electoral politics, declaring that he will no longer contest in future elections. The veteran parliamentarian made the statement while addressing an employment fair in Sambalpur.
Speaking at the event, Oram said he had already made it clear during the last general election that he would not contest for either MP or MLA posts again. However, he affirmed his continued involvement with the party, saying, “I will remain active in the organization and work to strengthen it. If the party wishes, I will go to the Rajya Sabha. I want to pave the way for the younger generation.”
