Malkangiri, AO correspondent 25/07: The state-level fact-finding team of the BJD party visited Malkangiri on Friday. They investigated the truth of the gang-rape case and met the victim at the hospital and discussed it.
A fact-finding team of the BJD party visited Malkangiri to review the truth of the gang-rape case of a minor girl in Malkangiri district last Sunday and to provide due justice to the victim. Senior BJD leaders of Biju Janata Dal and former MP Ramesh Majhi and Pradeep Majhi visited the district and met the victim of the gang-rape case at the hospital. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital and also discussed with her family.
The team, which includes District BJD President and former MLA Manas Madkami, District Council President Samari Tangul, Malkangiri Municipal President Manoj Barik, Vice President Kavita Mahant, along with senior party leaders, elected representatives of the BJD party, met the victim and her family and consoled her. Along with this, they also inquired about her health condition and treatment arrangements from the District Chief Medical Officer and advised them to provide better health services. The District Health Department is fully prepared for the treatment of the victim and is providing better services, said District Chief Health Officer Dr. Braj bandhu Dash.
