Mumbai, 31/7: Seventeen years after a bomb blast rattled Malegaon, a Special Court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday acquitted all seven accused who stood trial in the politically sensitive terrorism case.
Special Judge A K Lahoti, who presides over the NIA court, announced the acquittals in a jam-packed courtroom. Exactly 17 years ago, Malegaon was rocked by a chain of three blasts in Bada Kabrastan, Mushawra Chowk, and Hamidiya Masjid on September 8 2006.
