Bhubaneswar, 21/8: In a major development, Odisha Government issued a major reshuffle in the police administration. Odisha govt transferred and posted 18 IPS/OPS officers across various key positions in the state. A notification was released by the Home Department detailing the new appointments.
According to the order, Dr. Santosh Bala (IPS, 1995 batch) has been posted as Director, SFSL, while Shri S. Praveen Kumar (IPS, 2002 batch) will now serve as IG of Police, Provisioning. Gajbhiyye Satish Kumar Iswardas (IPS, 2002 batch) has been appointed as IG of Police, Special Armed Police, and Sanjay Kumar Kaushal (IPS, 2003 batch) has been shifted to IG of Police, Economic Offences Wing (EOW).
Avinash Kumar (IPS, 2007), who will head the State Crime Record Bureau, while Dr. Satyajit Naik (IPS, 2008) takes charge as DIG of Police, Central Range. Pinak Mishra (IPS, 2011) has been elevated to DIG of Police, Eastern Range.
