Siddaramaiah recalls in Assembly 20 stampedes that happened in BJP-ruled states

Bengaluru, 22/8: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday recalled 20 stampedes that took place in the BJP-ruled states and blamed ‘mass hysteria’ for the incident, during a discussion on the stampede near Chinnaswamy stadium that claimed the lives of 11 people on June 4.

The Chief Minister read out the list of stampedes starting from the one that occurred on August 3, 2008 at Naina Devi temple in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh when Prem Singh Dhumal was the Chief Minister, followed by the stampede in Jodhpur .
