Leh Apex Body pulls out of talks with Centre until normalcy is restored in Ladakh

Srinagar, 29/9: The Apex Body Leh (ABL) on Monday pulled out of scheduled talks with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in New Delhi on October 6 while the Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) demanded the immediate release of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk,who has been jailed under NSA.

The ABL said it could not continue dialogue after what it termed the “criminalisation of a democratic movement.” The group cited three reasons for its decision – the arrest of Wangchuk, branding of the protests as “anti-national,” .
