Karnal, 6/9: The police has already become alert after the announcement of siege of farmers’ Mahapanchayat and ‘mini secretariat’ in Karnal. The Karnal administration has implemented Section-144 in the district a day before the ‘mini secretariat’ encirclement. The gathering of people has been banned since Monday. Officials said that the district administration has banned the gathering of five or more people by imposing prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CPC).
Haryana Bharatiya Kisan Union (Chaduni) chief Gurnam Singh Chaduni said on Monday that a grand panchayat would be organized here on Tuesday, after which the farmers would gherao the small secretariat.
