SUBARNAPUR , 16/10— Subarnapur Collector Dr. Nruparaj Sahu made a surprise visit to the District Watershed Project Office without any prior notice. During this visit, a senior clerk working in the Subarnapur Watershed Project Office found the Collector in a completely intoxicated state with both legs on the table. After checking the smell of alcohol on Mr.Kalu Mirddha and confirming that he had consumed alcohol, he immediately ordered the suspension of Mr. Mirddha. During the suspension, Mr. Mirddha’s headquarters has been fixed by the Collectorate at the Subarnapur District Office’s Establishment Section. It is expected that this suspension will act as a wake-up call and warning to all other government employees in the district who are negligent in their work.
