IBCS organises “Finance Fusion 2.0 – Empowering Women Through Finance”

Bhubaneswar, Nov. 18: Institute of Business and Computer Studies (IBCS),
faculty of management sciences of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be
University, recently organised an Entrepreneurship Development Programme
exclusively for women.
The event, designed as ‘Finance Fusion 2.0 – Empowering Women Through
Finance’, was conducted in collaboration with the Weneurs Forum.
The inaugural meeting of the programme was presided over by Prof.
Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor of SOA while Ms. Sulata Deo, member of
Rajya Sabha, was the chief guest. Ms. Bushra Khan, Co-founder and CFO, GloPort
PhotoniX attended as guest of honour as well as resource person. Ms. Jayanti
Mahapatra, Co-founder and Director, Weneurs Forum and Prof.(Dr.) Ayasa Kanta
Mohanty, Dean, IBCS welcomed the participants.
Ms. Mahapatra highlighted the programme’s objectives while the speakers
reiterated the importance of financial awareness for women entrepreneurs.
Convened by Dr. Ramakrushna Mishra, Associate Professor and Dr. Pallavi
Mishra, Assistant Professor, the event saw participation by over 40 women
entrepreneurs of Odisha representing various sectors. The training session
covered key subjects like budgeting, financial planning, cash flow management,
capital management and financial control. Mr. Gautam Sahoo, Finance and
Accounts Head, FS and CW Department, Puri, served as the co-facilitator for the
afternoon session.
The program was supported by sponsors including NTPC, IDBI Bank,
Hindustan Jewellers, Pradeep Parivahan Ltd. and Swabalambi Odisha. It was
marked by engaging interactions and enthusiastic participation from all
attendees. The event stood out as an enriching platform that significantly
contributed to strengthening financial confidence among women entrepreneurs.
