Bhubaneswar : Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), Paradeep Unit- the world’s
largest phosphatic fertilizer plant-has once again set a benchmark in industrial
excellence by winning the Kalinga Safety Excellence National Award (Platinum
Category) for its outstanding performance in the year 2024 at the 16 th National
Safety Conclave-2025 held in Bhubaneswar.
The award, conferred by the Institute of Quality & Environment Management
Services (IQEMS), Bhubaneswar, recognizes the Paradeep Unit’s exemplary
achievements in ensuring safety, health, and environmental sustainability, reflecting
its steadfast adherence to best-in-class safety practices in plant operations.
The honour was received by Shri Ranjit Kumar Swain, Joint General Manager (Fire
& Safety), from the chief guest Smt. Surama Padhy, Hon’ble Speaker, Odisha
Legislative Assembly during the Conclave on 19 th September 2025 in
Bhubaneswar.
This remarkable achievement has been possible due to the visionary guidance and
leadership of Hon’ble unit Head Shri P.K.Mahapatra. This recognition reaffirms
IFFCO Paradeep Unit’s unwavering commitment to the highest standards of SHE
(Safety, Health & Environment) practices, contributing to a safer workplace and a
more sustainable industrial ecosystem.
