Kashipur, December 13, 2025: Utkal Alumina International Limited (UAIL), a Hindalco Industries Limited subsidiary under the Aditya Birla Group, organized a mega health camp at Nuagaon village under Kashipur Block in Rayagada district as part of its Mines CSR initiative for community welfare.The camp was inaugurated in the presence of the local Sarpanch and Samiti members, along with UAIL Unit Head Rabi Narayan Mishra; AVP, Corporate Affairs, Suparna Nanda; Baphlimali Mines Head Vijay Chauhan; Chief Medical Officer of Utkal Hospital, Dr. Rajendra Lenka; Head of Utkal Hospital, Nuapada, Dr. Rajendra Mandal; and Mines CSR Head Manoj Das.Residents from 39 villages under Maikanch and Kodipari Panchayats in the Nuagaon area, plus students from two nearby schools, attended for comprehensive health check-ups. Specialist doctors in general medicine, dermatology, pediatrics, and gynecology provided consultations, distributed free medicines, and referred critical cases for advanced treatment.Nuagaon and surrounding areas lack adequate healthcare infrastructure, leaving residents to suffer prolonged illnesses without timely care. UAIL stepped in with this mega camp to bridge the gap and boost access to essential services.Specialist doctors and free medicines brought major relief to locals, who praised UAIL’s proactive role in extending healthcare to remote and mostly accessible regions.The event saw active support from Project Head M. Devi Priya, Nirupama Barik, Dillip Nayak, and all Punaruthan Project members, ensuring smooth execution. It is worth mentioning that UAIL previously held a 2023 camp in Kodipari Panchayat serving over 1,500 from 25 villages; a 2024 mega camp in Maikanch and Nuagaon with pediatrics and gynecology focus (2,000+ patients); and an early 2025 diabetes and dermatology screening camp in Rayagada Block, benefiting thousands of rural residents
