Bhubaneswar, 24/12′ In a major development, 1991-batch IAS officer Anu Garg is set to become Odisha’s first woman to don the mantle of State’s Chief Secretary post with the Government issuing a notification in this regard on Wednesday.
Garg, who held several key positions in the administration in the past, is currently shouldering the responsibility as Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary and Secretary to the Government, Planning and Convergence Department, with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resources Department.
Anu Garg will assume charge after the incumbent Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja retires on December 31
