A body of a young man was recovered under suspicious circumstances from inside a shop near IG Park in Bhubaneswar on Saturday, triggering concern and tension among local residents. According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Amar Khuntia, a resident of the Chhania area in Khordha district. The body was found inside a shop located in close proximity to the IG Park locality. After noticing the body, locals promptly informed the police, following which law enforcement authorities rushed to the spot.Personnel from the Capital Police Station reached the location soon after receiving the information and initiated preliminary investigation procedures. The area was cordoned off to prevent contamination of evidence, and police officials began examining the scene to ascertain the circumstances leading to the death. Forensic teams were also informed as part of standard protocol in cases involving suspicious deaths.Although the exact cause of death has not yet been determined, police officials have termed the incident as suspicious and stated that all possible angles are being explored. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, the report of which is expected to shed light on whether the death was accidental, suicidal, or the result of foul play. This incident comes close on the heels of another shocking case reported a couple of days earlier, in which the body of a man was recovered from the official residence of Odisha Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra in Bhubaneswar.
