Rairangpur, 5/2: President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, laid the foundation stone for the construction of a Convention Centre at Rairangpur, Odisha, in a programme organized by the State Government.
The Convention Centre is being constructed with financial support from NTPC as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. This project reflects NTPC’s commitment towards promoting cultural, social, and community development in the region.
The proposed Convention Centre will serve as a modern platform for hosting conferences, seminars, cultural programmes, and public gatherings. It is expected to strengthen local infrastructure, encourage socio-economic growth, and provide a dedicated space for community engagement.
The foundation stone-laying ceremony marked a significant milestone in the development of Rairangpur and highlighted the collaborative efforts of the Central Government, State Government, and NTPC in fostering inclusive growth and regional development.
