Rourkela Police launched a coordinated operation against an online betting racket after receiving confidential intelligence.Teams from Plantside, Uditnagar, Bondamunda, and Raghunathpalli police stations carried out simultaneous raids at several locations.Investigators discovered strong links between the racket and benami account providers as well as hawala operators. Evidence confirmed illegal money transfers routed through these networks. Police teams seized more than Rs 20 lakh in cash during the raids.Authorities detained five individuals and began intensive interrogation.
