Fire Breaks Out Near Orissa HC; 4 Vehicles Damaged

Cuttack: Four vehicles were damaged in a fire that broke out in front of the Orissa High Court at Chandini Chowk on Tuesday. The fire, believed to have been caused by a short circuit, started in an electric vehicle (EV) and quickly spread to two scooters and an SUV parked nearby.Eyewitnesses said they noticed flames coming from the EV around mid-morning.“I was heading towards the court when I saw the fire in the electric vehicle. It quickly spread to the nearby vehicles,” said a local resident.The Orissa High Court fire brigade responded immediately after being alerted, while personnel from Lalbagh police station also rushed to the spot to assist in controlling the blaze.Authorities said the EV and the two scooters were completely damaged, while the SUV suffered approximately 60% fire damage. No casualties were reported in the incident.Preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit may have triggered the fire.
