Odisha CM Majhi Campaigns for BJP in West Bengal, Confident of Party’s Victory

Bhubaneswar, April 2: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi campaigned for BJP candidates in West Bengal, asserting the party would form the next state government. Speaking at a rally in Birbhum, he said, “After Bihar and Odisha, it’s now West Bengal’s turn for the BJP to lead.”Campaigning in Birbhum district, Majhi emphasized the BJP’s growing support among voters. This marked his second visit for the party’s campaign after Purba Medinipur last month. He expressed confidence, stating, “The lotus will bloom this time.”During his visit, Majhi attended nomination rallies for BJP candidates in Rampurhat, Hansan, Nalhati, and Murarai, urging support for the party. He also defended the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists, calling it constitutionally required and necessary to remove illegal infiltrators from the voter rolls.Commenting on the recent Malda incident where judicial officers were gheraoed, Majhi criticized Bengal’s administration for corruption and alleged political influence, stating that the people of Bengal would vote for development and against corruption.
