Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi joined little children at Raj Bhavan Upper Primary School in Bhubaneswar during the state-level Khadi Chhuan Divas, marking the symbolic beginning of their learning journey. He announced that all Anganwadi centres in Odisha will gradually merge with Shishu Vatika schools to strengthen early childhood education. The Chief Minister emphasised that primary education will now remain under one roof, beginning from Shishu Vatika. He said every village will have a model school to ensure strong foundations for children. He also revealed plans to construct the Godabarish Mishra Primary School on five acres of land at a cost of Rs 6 crore. During the School Entry Festival, the Chief Minister personally guided children into classrooms, holding their hands and symbolically initiating their learning journey by writing with chalk. He interacted warmly with the young students, encouraging them to embrace education.
