Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Monday arrested Dillip Kumar Pradhan, Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) of Ratanpur Gram Panchayat under Tangi Block in Khordha district, for allegedly misappropriating government funds totaling Rs 11,28,600.According to an official press release, Pradhan is accused of diverting the funds during his previous tenure (January 2023 to July 2024) as PEO of Balipatna Panchayat Samiti.Investigations revealed that the misappropriated amount was meant for the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana (MBPY), intended for the elderly and vulnerable residents of Pampalo and Rajas Gram Panchayats under Balianta Block. Instead, the funds were allegedly siphoned off by Pradhan.Bhubaneswar Vigilance has registered P.S. Case No. 6 (dated 06.04.2026) under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018 and BNS against the accused. Pradhan has been forwarded to the Court of the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
