Burglary Case Cracked in Cuttack: Gold and Silver Worth Rs 1.5 Cr Recovered, 10 Held

Nishintakoili Police uncovered a major burglary racket in Cuttack district, arresting ten accused and recovering stolen gold, silver, and cash worth over Rs 1.5 crore.The breakthrough came after complainant Gurucharan Pal of Natakai village reported the theft from his residence while staying in Jagatpur for his wife’s treatment.Inspector Anita Sahoo led the investigation under the supervision of the Salipur SDPO. The special team included officers from Nishintakoili, Mahanga, and Salepur police stations, along with the Cuttack special squad. They traced the culprits through crime pattern analysis and coordinated raids across multiple districts.

The arrested accused have been identified as

The accused operated across states, targeting locked houses and selling stolen valuables through receivers in Cuttack and Maharashtra.

2) Total silver ornaments weighing about 3.100 KG (Silver) (Approx cost Rs. 8 Lakin)

13) Two mobile phones.

Police registered the case under Nishintakoili PS Case No. 119/26 and forwarded the accused to court. The operation marked one of the largest recoveries in recent months, reinforcing the district’s crackdown on organised theft networks.
