A heartbreaking incident in Jajpur district left Manasipatan village under Mangalpur Police Station in deep mourning after a father and son died within hours of each other.Steamer Panda, known locally as Silu and owner of Gayatri Digital Studio in Mangalpur Bazar, suffered a fatal heart attack while rushing his employee Bhiki to the hospital. Bhiki had consumed poison earlier in the day. Silu felt uneasy during the drive, returned home, and collapsed as his chest pain intensified. Doctors at the hospital confirmed his death while preparing to conduct an ECG.Overwhelmed by grief after hearing of his son’s death, Rasananda Panda, Silu’s father, took his own life by hanging himself.Police confirmed that Bhiki remains in critical condition at a hospital in Cuttack.
