Congress national youth wing secretary Srinidhi resigns after AIADMK MLAs join TVK

Chennai, 26/5: In a major political development,V. Srinidhi, the national youth wing secretary of the Indian National Congress who contested from the Singanallur constituency in the recently concluded Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, has resigned from the primary membership of the party. The move of the Congress’ post-poll ally Tamilaga Vettri kazhagam (TVK) to induct three AIADMK MLAs, who had exited the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), despite the Congress having maintained that it would not align with divisive forces, has raised serious concerns about the consistency and clarity of political principles within the national party, she said. “I, therefore, seek clarity on the basis and reasoning behind this move, as it has significantly contributed to my inability to continue in the position,” she added.
