Baripada, May 29: Following directions from the district administration, the Baripada Municipality on Friday carried out an encroachment removal drive from Steel Golai Square to Murgabadi along the city’s main road.During the operation, officials removed extended shop sheds and dismantled structures built over drains on both sides of the road. The drive was conducted to address persistent traffic and parking congestion in the city, as well as difficulties in cleaning and maintaining the drainage system.Baripada Municipality Executive Officer Debi Prasad Rout informed that similar eviction drives will continue every week in areas such as Station Bazar Road, Baghra Road, and other parts of the city to ensure smoother traffic movement and proper sanitation management.
