Rayagada, June 1, 2026:
A Joint Grievance Hearing Camp was conducted by the district administration at the Zilla Parishad Sadbhavana Hall in the district headquarters of Rayagada on Monday.
The hearing was chaired by Rayagada Collector Ashutosh Kulkarni and attended by Superintendent of Police Raj Prasad, Divisional Forest Officer Sachin Annasaheb Ohal, Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer Akshay Kumar Khemundu, Chief District Medical and Public Health Officer Dr. Prashant Mishra, Sub-Collector Ramesh Kumar Jena, Project Administrator-cum-Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Officer Chandrakanta Majhi, along with officials from various departments. The officials heard and reviewed grievances submitted by members of the public.
A total of 65 grievances were received during the hearing. Of these, 50 were individual petitions, while 10 were collective grievances submitted by villagers. The Collector also approved financial assistance of ₹76,000 from the Red Cross Fund for five beneficiaries.
During the camp, 18 grievances were resolved on the spot, while the remaining cases were forwarded to the concerned departments for detailed inquiry and necessary action. The Collector directed departmental officials to investigate the pending complaints and ensure prompt resolution.
The Joint Grievance Hearing programme continues to serve as an important platform for addressing public concerns and ensuring responsive governance at the district level.
