Firing incident at Binika Block Chairperson’s house, 4 arrested

SUBARNAPUR, 24/6—The police have uncovered the firing incident at the house ( Singhijuba village )of Diptirekha Nanda Binika Block Chairperson of Subarnapur district late on the night of the 19th. There was an argument over the crusher . Why did the firing happen? The police have arrested 4 people in this firing incident, while 3 to 4 are currently absconding. 2 country-made guns, 20 live ammunition and 2 swords, 2 mobile phones, a knife, OD-02 BG-4962 white car have been seized in this incident, informed Subarnapur Supdt. Of Police Narayan Nayak at a press conference held at Binika police station. The arrested accused are Muna Barik (30) of Gandhinagar Pada, Balangir, Durbasa Behera (45) of Rampur Saharapada, Subarnapur district, Dunguripali Police Station. The police have arrested Loknath Naik (23) of Ludkibeda village and produced him in court today. However, Tanmay Bagh (alias Tiger) (26) of Brahmanipali village of Rampur police station had a case registered with the Rampur police station earlier. The police took him into remand and conducted further investigation. It was learned that he was involved in the firing incident. In this regard, on the instructions of Supdt. Of Police Narayan Nayak, the police formed a team and intensified the investigation and the police have revealed the firing incident. In this regard, a case has been registered at the Binika police station ( Case No. 174/175 /2026) and further investigation is underway, police sources said.
