Malkangiri, correspondent 3/7: The doctors’ protest in Malkangiri district has entered its second day. Today too, doctors staged a protest in front of the CDMO office. More than 140 doctors in the district are protesting for 13 points. It is said that the protest will continue until the Odisha government fulfills its demands, but it is expected that the doctors may join work from tomorrow. On the other hand, the doctors have warned that the protest will be intensified if their demands are not met. There has been a general demand that the government should immediately discuss with the doctors and find a solution. Due to the protest, patient services were disrupted on the second day today as well. It has been alleged that even though temporary and Ayush doctors are providing patient services at the district headquarters, the patients are not getting proper treatment. There were complaints that there were no serious patients and they were being harassed. If the protest continues for a few more days, there is a fear that the condition of the patients in the district will become critical.
