President Droupadi Murmu to Visit Odisha from August 3; State Launches Preparations

President Droupadi Murmu is set to return to her home state for a three-day visit beginning August 3, with official engagements planned across Bhubaneswar, Kataka, Brahmapur and Taptapani. As preparations gather pace, the Odisha government has begun coordinating security and logistical arrangements after receiving the President’s draft itinerary from Rashtrapati Bhavan. The proposed programme has triggered extensive planning across multiple districts. Security deployment is being strengthened in Bhubaneswar, Kataka and Brahmapur, while traffic regulation and route management are being worked out to facilitate the President’s movement between airports, railway stations and event venues.The visit will commence with President Murmu’s arrival at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 2:10 pm on August 3. After reaching Lok Bhavan, where she is scheduled to stay, she will travel to Cuttack later in the day to attend the inauguration of Jagadguru Kripalu University as the chief guest.
