Dhamra, 09.01.2026: Adani Foundation, the social responsibility arm of Adani Dhamra Port, successfully organised Inter High School Athletic Meets for boys and girls across its port peripheral Gram Panchayats, reinforcing its commitment to promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle among school students.
As part of this initiative, the Annual Inter High School Athletic Meet was held on 9 January 2026 at Kolha High School Playground, The where 12 Government High Schools located along the railway corridor participated. Earlier, on 7 January 2026, a similar athletic meet was organised at Balisahi UP School Playground for 12 port peripheral High Schools.
Across both events, a total of 144 Boys, 144 Girls from 24 High Schools participated enthusiastically in six athletic disciplines—100m run, 200m run, high jump, long jump, shot put, and discus throw. The competitions witnessed vibrant participation from students, teachers, and local PRI members, creating an encouraging sporting atmosphere.
The winners securing first, second, and third positions in each event were felicitated with medals and trophies by invited guests Mr. Ramakrushna Jena, Sarapanch Dosinga GP, Mr.Panchanan Manna, Retd. HM Dosinga High School, Mr. Devendra Nayak, Sosial worker, Mr. RajendracKumar Nayak, Dist. Physical Education Officer, Mr. Kishore Chandra Barik, Retd. HM, Achak High School, Mr. Nrusinga Charan Mohapatra, SMDC, Kolha HS, Mr. Prasanta Kumar Mohanty, HM, Kolha High School in the presence of teachers from host and participating schools, along with officials of Adani Foundation. Through such initiatives, Adani Foundation continues to nurture young sporting talent while fostering physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline among school students in the region.
